Pangolin is an Indian casualwear brand that is redefining sustainability in the fashion industry through the lens of biodiversity. Pangolin needed to grow their identity beyond a logo and reflect the love with which their products were made.
I developed a Design Strategy and Identity System that adds storytelling and provides a direction for the development of the brand and its products.

As a brand that takes inspiration from the biodiversity of the planet , we decided to look at the various biodiversity zones across the globe.

We took inspiration from Buckminister Fuller and his concept of Spaceship Earth.
A lot of love also goes into designing and making the clothes that Pangolin sells. Incidently, the domain of the brand was www.lovepangolin.com. We decided to incorporate "Love" into the identifier embodying approach towards nature conservation and making it easier to discover the brand.

The grid system for Pangolin is inspired by the latitudes and longitudes of planet Earth. We use both equatorial and polar projects to form the grids.
The primary typeface in use is Oh No Softie by Oh No Type Co. The playful typeace adds a cheerful and joyous mood to the brand. The secondary typeface is Encode Sans. Its clean and simple design helps in building the space corp feeling.
Colours for the brand were inspired by various ecological elements including but not limited to animals, fungi, birds, trees and other species.
The identity of the brand was extended to their e-commerce website which has floating elements to reference the space.
